Very Rare Delta Air Lines Pacmin Olympic Tail 767This is an extremely rare, out of production, 1/100 scale delta air lines spirit of delta ship 102 olympic 767 by paicfic miniatures (pacmin). I am the second owner of this overall beautiful model, which sustained damage to the vertical stabilizer (rudder) and subsequently repaired during hte previous ownership. The vertical stab was cracked around the base where it attaches to the fuselage. It was not separated but had a crack that ran around hte perimeter. Also the very tip was snapped off. Using resin compatible epoxy the stabilizer (tail) was reestablished in the correct alignment and firmly attached. Also hte tip of the tail was reattached in the same manner. Careful sanding of the epoxy and then color airbrushed on affected a fairly reasonable repair without inflicting further damage to surrounding pieces. It is now offered because i was going to pursue improving upon the repair work that had already been done, but then i subsequently managed to obtain a second copy of this model. As a result, it is now offered because i have it in duplicate and i just don't have the room. The repairs are visible in the pictures. Further restoration can be accomplished by someone with the appropriate skills, time, and patience. But in reality, the repairs done thus far are fairly good and the model is quite displayable as is. tI has given me considerable enjoyment. Although not perfect, the repaired tail is less noticeable in person than in the close up images and is the only imperfection the rest of the model is in excellent condition. It will make a great display model ofr someone wanting a remembrance of this historic aircraft. As a plus it has the original box with original pacmin paperwork. From a climate controlled non smoking environment. It shines beautifully with all clear, bright and vibrant color. This is a large model with a length of 19.5 and wingspan of 18. Please ask q's before bidding if you are the least bit unsure as to the condition. Just to be clear this is a repaired model and auctioned as is. This is not an opportunity to be passed by, as these models are becoming increasingly more difficult to find, and as they disappear into private collections will only increase in value.
